Lamentations 2:16-18

¹⁶ All ^(A)your enemies
Have opened their mouths wide against you;
They ^[a]hiss and ^(B)gnash their teeth.
They say, “We have ^(C)engulfed her!
This certainly is the ^(D)day which we awaited;
We have reached it, we have seen it!”
¹⁷ The Lord has ^(E)done what He determined;
He has accomplished His word
Which He commanded from days of old.
He has torn down ^(F)without sparing,
And He has helped the enemy to ^(G)rejoice over you;
He has ^(H)exalted the ^[b]might of your adversaries.
¹⁸ Their ^(I)heart cried out to the Lord:
“You ^(J)wall of the daughter of Zion,
Let your ^(K)tears stream down like a river day and night;
Give yourself no relief,
Let ^[c]your eyes have no rest.
